These proposed estimates are a “draft zero”—a first attempt to paint a picture of the kinds of investments needed to close current safety gaps. Scaling Safety aims to evaluate and improve this methodology as we receive feedback. These figures should be a catalyst for policymakers to map out how to use funds to scale up prevention so all communities are equipped to address the cycle of crime.
